Conwell-Egan Catholic (CEC) Eagles Girls Volleyball team delivered a commanding performance at home, sweeping Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast in three straight sets (25-14, 25-12, 25-5).

The Eagles showcased their serving strength, highlighted by Sophia Lodise’s remarkable 18 consecutive serves in the second set and a total of 31 serves with 7 aces on the night. Freshman Lucie Grodzki added 15 strong serves, while Alaira Vecchione controlled the third set with 9 serves, finishing with 11 serves overall.

Notable Performances:

#10 Sophia Lodise – Led the way with 12 kills, 11 assists, 6 digs, and 7 aces on 31 serves.

#20 Alia Schmidt – Tallied 9 kills, 7 digs, 1 block, and 1 ace, providing steady offensive firepower from the net as well as the back row attacks.

#9 Olivia Barber – Dominant at the net with 3 blocks and 1 ace; named MVP of the Match for her impact both on defense and serving.

#2 Allessia Romana – Stepped in as setter during sets two and three, recording 2 assists and 1 dig.

#3 Celeste Kinney – Added 1 kill and 3 assists.

#4 Charlie Bennett – Recorded 7 hitting attempts, 1 kill, and 1 dig.

#26 Emily Geyer – Contributed 1 block at the net.

#17 Liliana (Lily) Lodise – Strong libero play with 3 digs.

#16 Lucie Grodzki – Added 5 digs, 5 serves, and 1 ace.

#13 Mary Aileo – Transitioned to outside hitter, with 7 hitting attempts, posting 3 kills.

#8 Olivia Grbas – Solid libero performance with 7 digs and 1 assist.

#19 Reese Murphy – In the defensive specialist role, tallied 1 kill and 6 digs.

#11 Alaira Vecchione – Contributed 6 digs with 9 serves in the third set, 11 serves total.
